SCTTA's Sophia Posey, earns Purple Iris Award for DMO Employee of the Year

Sophia Posey, Director of Media for the South Central Tennessee Tourism Association earned a Purple Iris Award for DMO Employee of the year at the 2025 Tennessee Tourism and Hospitality Association's Stars of the Industry Awards.

Sophia's nomination highlighted work she does across all thirteen counties in the south central region, including leading SCTTA's social media managment program, giving local DMO's a boost with social media scheduling, strategy, and content development. The program highlights SCTTA's mission of being an extension of staffing at the local level for all of our DMO partners.

This marks a second consecutive year that SCTTA has brought home Purple Iris Awards, including last year's DMO of the year.

In addition to Sophia's win, the entire leadership team inlcuding Director of Operations, Amanda McGowan, and Executive Director, Ryan French were nominees at the 2025 Stars of the Industry Awards.
