CURRENT OPENINGS
COMMUNICATIONS & OFFICE COORDINATOR

The South Central Tennessee Tourism Association (SCTTA), also known as Experience Tennessee, is seeking a creative, organized, and dependable Communications and Office Coordinator to support the organization's communications, marketing, partner services, and daily administrative activities.

Working under the direction of the Executive Director and Assistant Executive Director, this position supports the day-to-day execution of the organization's communications, marketing, administrative, and partner service initiatives. Responsibilities include managing social media accounts, creating written and visual content, updating websites, producing newsletters, coordinating partner communications, assisting with invoicing and partnership renewals, and maintaining organized project and content records.

The Communications and Office Coordinator will also capture and edit photography and video, create reels and short-form content, write tourism blogs and social media captions, develop graphics using Canva, and support public relations, media tours, events, and contracted marketing services for local destination organizations and community partners.

The ideal candidate will possess strong writing, communication, organizational, photography, videography, and customer service skills. This position requires the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and consistent branding across all communications.

Experience with Canva, social media scheduling platforms, website management systems, email marketing software, photography and video editing tools, invoicing, and project management platforms is preferred. Candidates should have reliable transportation and be willing to travel throughout South Central Tennessee, with occasional evening and weekend work required to support events, tourism programs, and content production.

Compensation for this position is based on qualifications and experience and ranges from $16.50 to $19.00 per hour.

TRAVEL ADVISOR AT THE TENNESSEE WHISKEY TRAILHEAD & WELCOME CENTER

The Tennessee Whiskey Trailhead & Welcome Center is seeking friendly, outgoing, and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Part-Time Travel Advisors. Located in historic Lynchburg, Tennessee, our Welcome Center welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors each year from across the United States and around the world, serving as the official visitor center for the Tennessee Whiskey Trail and Experience Tennessee.

Working under the direction of the Director of Visitor Services and Assistant Director of Visitor Services, Travel Advisors provide exceptional hospitality while helping guests discover the best of South Central Tennessee and the Tennessee Whiskey Trail. Team members assist visitors with travel planning, recommend attractions, restaurants, lodging, shopping, events, and outdoor experiences, answer questions about the region, and help create memorable experiences for every guest who walks through our doors.

In addition to assisting visitors, Travel Advisors operate the Welcome Center gift shop, process retail sales, restock merchandise, maintain a clean and welcoming facility, distribute visitor information, support special events, and help fulfill tourism information requests. Travel Advisors also receive ongoing training to become knowledgeable about destinations, businesses, attractions, festivals, state parks, and communities throughout the region, allowing them to confidently serve as ambassadors for Tennessee tourism.

We are looking for dependable individuals who enjoy meeting new people, have strong communication and customer service skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Retail, hospitality, tourism, or customer service experience is preferred but not required—we're happy to train the right candidate who has a positive attitude and a passion for serving others.

This is a part-time position averaging 12 to 16+ hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours during peak tourism seasons, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Compensation begins at $13.00 per hour, plus participation in our team tip-sharing program. With tips, Travel Advisors typically earn between $14.00 and $16.00 per hour.
