"Without a doubt, I must have the best job in Tennessee. Let me explain.
I get to travel across the 13 diverse and beautiful counties in South, Central Tennessee and meet some of the most interesting, talented and friendly people and often, the privilege of hearing their work stories. I then get to share with them the benefits of partnering with our Tourism Association and helping them attract to their organization some of the 3,600,000 annual visitors to South Central Tennessee.
Every organization has a unique story to tell. Our mission at the Association is to help tell each partner's story and grow their organization through visits by our tourists. Our visitors spend their time and money here without the need for a community to build new schools, expand basic services or otherwise spend tax revenues to serve new residents. Please always remember to be nice to our visitors. They are very nice to us.
This is my 50th year to have a full-time job. I can honestly say I have never worked with a more creative, hard-working and passionate group of people than the team at the South Central Tennessee Tourism Association. Team members wake up every day thinking “what can I do to help our partners grow their business through visits by our tourists”.
The new Travel Guides and After Jack Traveler's Guides are hot off the press. The first wave of 150,000 copies of each have been delivered to several Interstate Welcome Centers. Over the next couple of weeks I will be delivering a few Guides to each of our partners.
